According to msn.com links another Beverly Hills Cop, Ghostbusters, Punisher and Austin Powers films are being planned. I won’t be surprised if a someone in the film industry plans to remake Equus(the movie). To answer the question bungalow or bunker? I prefer a highly advanced, user friendly, ecofriendly and energy efficient spaceship. Love the show.
The lives of Che and Liberace might come to the big screen. Benecio Del Toro as Che, Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as Liberace’s so called lover who sued Liberace for more than $100 million dollars. (Sources:imdb.com and msn.com)
What movies would you like to see remakes of?
I like Peter Hyams’ “Capricorn One,” but would love to see a new version. Of course it would have new surveillance technology used to track down the astronauts and computer generated effects to pull off the hoax.
Drone aircraft flying through the desert in search of Brubaker, Willis and Walker. No O.J. in the remake, of course. He kinda stunk in the original anyway.
“2010: The Year We Make Contact” MUST be remade. It was just crap.
“Contact” was okay, but I want to see a remake with more from Carl Sagan’s novel. No Jodie Foster, no stupid religious fanatic, A little more science, more of H.R. Hadden.
I’d like to see someone else in the role of Clarice Starling in “Silence of The Lambs.” I don’t know what it is about Foster than sort of annoyed me. I think she overacts at times and the alpha-female thing was pushed too hard. Clarice Starling needs to be more timid, but highly intelligent. She matches Lecter’s intellect, but lacks his psychopathy. her humanity and cunning is what gets her into Lecter’s head. Her drive to save the lives of victims, not the motivation of advancement.
I wouldn’t have minded much if Dr. Lecter ended up eating Clarice Starling. That’s the problem.
I’m glad to have come across Night Shift on WBAI a few years ago.
Ennio Morricone
The mini-series created by NHK (Japan) called “Musashi” had great music composed by Ennio Morricone.
The credits were in Japanese, and because I’m illiterate in that language, I had no idea who composed the music. It’s beautiful stuff.
If I get a copy somewhere of the soundtrack, I’d like to share the music with anyone interested.
